SERVICES

What to examine. What to do next.

The service areas below describe the kinds of questions a discussion can address. The systems included, depth of assessment, and deliverables are defined in an agreed scope of work. Recommendations and implementation are scoped separately where appropriate.

01

Technology choices and planning

IT Consulting

Connect technology choices, architecture, and IT planning with business needs. Compare options against the requirements of the organisation, existing dependencies, and the resources available to maintain the result.

When this is useful

Useful when an upgrade, replacement, or change of approach needs a clear rationale and a realistic sequence of work.

What the work involves

Start with business objectives and technical requirements, then examine architecture options and their dependencies. Compare operational impact, maintenance effort, cost assumptions, and constraints on change. The recommendation sets out the rationale, architecture considerations, and a phased plan; detailed system work is scoped under IT Systems & Infrastructure.

Discuss this area

What should change, and why?

Possible agreed outputs

  • Business and technical requirements, with architecture considerations
  • A comparison of technology options, assumptions, and trade-offs
  • An IT roadmap with priorities, dependencies, and decisions still needed

The proposal defines the deliverables and their level of detail. The examples below help frame that discussion.

02

Exposure, intelligence, and informed action

Cyber Security Intelligence

Cybersecurity risk assessment, vulnerability management, and threat analysis supported by proprietary intelligence feeds powered by Project TLEILAX. Connect technical findings with exposure and business context to prioritise action, improve security operations, and prepare for audits.

When this is useful

Useful when vulnerability findings lack context, threat information is difficult to prioritise, security workflows need improvement, or audit preparation needs a clear view of controls and supporting evidence.

What the work involves

Begin with the assets, business processes, exposure, and controls in scope. Combine the available technical findings with relevant threat intelligence, then turn the analysis into practical recommendations. The work can address immediate priorities, a repeatable exposure-management process, operational improvement, or audit readiness, according to the agreed objectives.

Discuss this area

What is exposed, what matters, and what should happen next?

Possible agreed outputs

  • Exposure and risk findings with business context and evidence
  • Vulnerability and threat priorities informed by Project TLEILAX intelligence
  • Remediation recommendations and a CTEM improvement cycle
  • SOC/VOC process and workflow improvement recommendations
  • Audit-readiness findings and a security-control improvement plan

The proposal defines the deliverables and their level of detail. The examples below help frame that discussion.

Proprietary intelligence powered by Project TLEILAX

e-Geist’s proprietary cybersecurity intelligence feeds, powered by Project TLEILAX, support vulnerability and threat analysis and prioritisation. Their value lies in relating relevant threat information to the client’s environment: what is exposed, what matters to the business, and which findings call for action. The analysis helps anticipate relevant threats and gives recommendations a reasoned basis.

Risk assessment and vulnerability management

Assess findings through their potential impact, exposure, and the controls already in place. Vulnerability management connects identification and analysis with remediation priorities and follow-up. The result should explain why an issue matters, what practical response is appropriate, and what still needs validation.

Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM)

Build a repeatable process for understanding and reducing exposure as systems and threats change. Define the scope, review relevant exposure, prioritise action, and assess progress through agreed validation and follow-up. The emphasis is on maintaining a useful view of risk and translating it into an actionable improvement cycle.

Consulting grounded in SOC and VOC operational experience

The owner brings extensive experience with Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Vulnerability Operations Centre (VOC) operations. That experience informs e-Geist’s assessment of processes, workflows, prioritisation, escalation, and handovers, with recommendations for operational improvement. This is consulting informed by the owner’s experience; e-Geist does not operate a SOC or provide a managed 24/7 SOC service.

Security audits, ISO-related assessments, and controls

Review security practices, documentation, and evidence against the requirements agreed for the assessment. Security audits and ISO-related assessments help identify gaps and prepare for audit discussions. Support with implementing and improving security controls connects findings to practical changes, responsibilities, and evidence of progress.

03

Windows, Linux, and mixed environments

IT Systems & Infrastructure

Systems administration, integration, troubleshooting, migrations, maintenance, and optimisation across Windows, Linux, and mixed environments. Infrastructure is considered alongside the systems and services that depend on it, with attention to day-to-day operation and continuity.

When this is useful

Useful when systems do not work together as expected, recurring faults disrupt work, a migration needs coordination, or maintenance and performance need attention.

What the work involves

Examine the agreed systems, their configuration, and the interfaces between them. Diagnose problems, identify integration requirements, and define migration or maintenance steps with appropriate checks and rollback arrangements. Administration and optimisation work should leave clear configuration records and operating guidance for the people responsible.

Discuss this area

What does reliable day-to-day operation require?

Possible agreed outputs

  • A system and dependency overview, including Windows/Linux integration points
  • Troubleshooting findings and agreed configuration or optimisation work
  • Migration and maintenance steps with validation and rollback arrangements
  • Administration procedures, configuration records, and continuity considerations

The proposal defines the deliverables and their level of detail. The examples below help frame that discussion.
